We went to Moab and Arches National Park for the 5/17 Full moon. Unfortunately it was raining and cloudy the entire time.
This was the only 4 hours that is wasn't raining or super cloudy.I love Moab & Arches National Park. I prefer it over the Grand Canyon actually.
While on our visit we tried some of the local fair our search for vegan and vegetarian produced a couple of places.
First we went to the Peach Tree Cafe. Luckily the servers were really nice. The food was over priced for what it was and took a long time to get. I hope they were just brand new and just not organized yet.
****************
Next we went to Cafe Eklectica. Located on the main strip in Moab
What a fabulous cramped cafe. The food is hand made and just terrific. I wish they had been open past 2:30 pm.They had a great selection of vegetarian and vegan fair. I myself had the Huevos Rancheros and my husband had the Scrambled TOFU eggs potatoes and toast. The price and portions were just right. We will defiantly return to this place.
We stayed at the River Canyon Lodge. If you are just looking for a place to crash and you can find it at a discount ,its worth it otherwise skip it.Beds are uncomfortable rooms are super small and for a regular room and a price of $90 a night there is so much better then this.
Well this was a brief run down of my trip . More to come.
